E-Government in Romania and Estonia: Comparative Analysis and Future Directions

Abstract:

Integrating information and communication technology (ICT) in governance has become essential for modern states in the digital age. This paper explores the development and impact of e-government in Romania, analyzing the context and political frameworks. The study highlights the key milestones and strategic initiatives adopted by Romania, providing a comparative analysis with Estonia, a recognized leader in the field of e-government. The research provides recommendations for further improvements and explores future trends and perspectives, highlighting the effect of emerging technologies, such as blockchain and artificial intelligence.
