An Overview of Electromyographic Signal Analysis

This study presents an overview of electromyographic signal (EMG) based on a literature survey, describing the principal analysis methods and applications, such as motion prediction, monitoring eating behavior, and control of hand orthosis. A particular interest is dedicated to the emotion recognition use case and whether electromyography can be used to combat phishing attacks, as emotions influence human behavior, and human error, provoked or not, is the weakest link in cybersecurity.
